Anglers to compete in Piney Run bass tournament on July 18th

Piney Run Park will host the Lunar Lunker II morning largemouth bass tournament at Piney Run Lake on Saturday, July 18th. The tournament starts at 7 a.m. with park gates opening at 6:30 a.m. Entry fee for the tournament is $15 per angler. Vehicle entrance fees will be waived for tournament anglers, however, the standard boat launch fee of $8 per boat applies.

Cash prizes will be awarded for the top three largemouth bass weighed in: 1st Place - $200 plus a trophy, 2nd place - $150, and 3rd place - $100.

Rental boats are available for $20 and can be reserved for this event. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged. The Board of County Commissioners sponsors these and other activities at Piney Run Park and Nature Center through the Department of Recreation and Parks.
