wantedThiefWestminster, Carroll County, Maryland, September 19, 2012 ---- The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information regarding the identity and location of a Latino female in her 30’s with short, dark brown hair who attempted to cash stolen checks against the bank account of an Eldersburg woman (See photographs).

On June 7, 2012, the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office began investigating the theft of a purse and other valuables taken from a vehicle parked at the Goddard School in the 6300 Goddard Park Drive, Eldersburg.  The wallet taken belonged to the Eldersburg woman, and contained several personal documents including personal checks, credit and ATM cards. 

 At 4:16 pm that afternoon, the suspect attempted to cash one of the checks at the State Employees Credit Union (SECU) in Towson, Maryland, but was denied as the account was frozen.   

 At 12:51 pm the following afternoon, the suspect again attempted cash one of the checks at the SECU in Salisbury, Maryland, but was again denied.
