Signs around town tell the story… Glory Days Grill will soon be opening up a new restaurant in Eldersburg.  The location is central, 1348 Liberty Road, near WalMart and Goodwill.  According to their website, the new restaurant is slated to open in June, 2011.

For those of you who have never eaten at a Glory Days Grill, they’re a family friendly sports bar with menu items such as wings, quesadillas, cheese fries, sliders, burgers, soups, chili, sandwiches, salads and desserts.   Their “Glory Day Classics” are Friday Fish Fry available any day of the week, Smothered Chicken, Grilled Chicken Penne with Vodka Cream sauce and Shrimp Linguini with Garlic Cream Sauce.

Since we can’t yet experience for ourselves what a visit to their restaurant will be like, here’s a snippet of some reviews about Glory Days Grill in other locations:

Glory Days Grill is a nice restaurant to bring the family for a meal, or a decent sports bar to leave them all at home to enjoy the game.
As for what it is... it's a sports bar.  They have portable mobile amp speakers that let you listen to any of the sports on any one of the 50 TV's.

Burgers are amazing especially on Monday $5 burger night.

They make great hot wings, with many styles.  Medium was still spicy for me.

I got the fried shrimp which was pretty decent. The service was prompt and nice.

The restaurant was pretty loud (we went at around 6pm and there was a hockey game on the main screen), but it's something we expected when we went.

I enjoy the laid back atmosphere and the ability to watch different sporting events and relax with friends.

Anticipation, like Carly Simon said, is “keepin’ me waitin’”.  In the meantime, you can check out Eldersburg’s new Grilled Cheese & Co. located at 577 Johnsville Road for some family-friendly fare.
