Short Bio: Doug was born in Massachusetts and grew up in the Boston area. Attended the Wharton School of Business and graduated in 1987 with a BS in Economics with a concentration in Entrepreneurial Management. Doug and his wife of 22 years have six children (2 boys and 4 girls). After moving to Maryland for a consulting position in 1989, Doug moved with the company to Atlanta and Nashville before returning to Maryland in 1995. He became President of that company in 1996 and bought for of its offices in 1998. In 2003, he moved the company from Owings Mills to Sykesville, where it continues to operate. He attended Leadership Carroll in 2003 and later that year founded Start-Up Carroll to help businesses get started. He ran for County Commissioner in 2006. He later joined CATS as Executive Director in 2007. He opened the BDG Small Business Center in 2009.
